A Memorable Mid-Autumn Festival at Hycroft Manor

September 16th, 2024

This past Thursday was nothing short of extraordinary. I had the privilege of setting up a heritage photobooth at the historic Hycroft Manor for a special event celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival. To say it was a wonderful experience would be an understatement.

Hycroft Manor, with its stately charm and timeless elegance, provided the perfect backdrop. I was, in essence, a painter, and the Manor was my grand canvas. I was able to take advantage of the Manor's rich history and distinct style. The goal was to create family portraits that were not just pictures, but memories imprinted on paper. The kind of images that make you stop and stare, that transport you back to the moment when they were captured. The kind that just pop right off the page.

I love every aspect of my work, from planning the session to retouching the final images, and this event was no exception. Seeing the joy on the faces of families as they posed, the excitement in their eyes as they saw their images, was the highlight of my day. Knowing that I was able to create something that will be cherished for years to come is the most rewarding feeling.

In this line of work, it's not just about taking a photo. It's about creating an experience, making people comfortable in front of the camera, and capturing genuine moments. Just as I strive to make my clients laugh and feel at ease, this event was all about ensuring the guests had a fun and memorable time, while creating timeless photographs.

After a decade of being behind the camera, I can say that no two events are the same. Each one brings with it a unique set of experiences, a new story to tell. And this Mid-Autumn Festival at Hycroft Manor was one for the books.
